Big Kids

Boy how time is flying by...I looked at these pictures and realized my kids are growing up so quickly. Hadley is wanting to ride a bike and Wyatt is playing flag football. They both changed so much this summer, we really got to do a lot because they're such big kids these days.

Family Fun

A few photos that ought to make you chuckle...they did me. Up first is our silly kids...aka bag lady, don't know...these are reusable lunch bags and she hauled them everywhere for a few days and as you can see got quite creative with what to do with them.

Next up is headband boy aka wyatt...again where did we find these children...they were giggling hysterically, these were all Hadley's baby headbands that had been tucked away somewhere. And yes the icing on the cake is he was naked as a blue jay...ahhh, if they were only so silly more often.

Since my birthday fell on Easter this year we all got together for dinner...and for entertainment we had a mini Blossom family track meet. Colton thinks he might want to throw the javelin...so of course we had to dig it out and give him a lesson or two. We were lots of talk and .... mmm not so much go. Good reminder of why I had to quit in the first place. We even measured all the throws with a few sticks and an abandoned pop bottle. Oh this was serious Dad made rules, we each got 3 throws, and we had to stay on the cement slab...so as many steps as you could fit. Of course it was killing me to know just HOW far we'd thrown, so we measured our marks off by lengths of the javelin and here were the very precise results: Don ~135 feet, Me ~98 feet, Colton & Dad both ~90 feet. I'm pretty sure I about died right there, not even 100 feet. I swore on the way over if I couldn't at least throw 100 feet I'd be out there practicing next week. I guess at least I threw farther than Dad & Colton :) Guess it's just more proof that there are definite seasons we go through in our lives and sadly this one has clearly passed in mine. Maybe I'll get to coach someday!

And look at the form on Wyatt - By the looks of it you'd think he launched that thing farther than all of us. I think he may be the next natural...isn't that why you're a parent anyways, to live vicariously through your children.
Some really cute ones of the kids dying eggs, they had fun this year. Wyatt was especially tickled that we had spelled his name with the magic crayon!! Oh the small things in life!

And lastly a couple of pictures on Easter Sunday...yes my children are eating their chocolate bunnies in their nice new outfits...not so smart, but it was all good and I just kept taking deep breaths :)
Sorry to make up for lost time, lots of pics, but apparently I'm not going to be super good at keeping this up real regularly...so when it rains it pours (or in MT, when it rains....it snows lots too).
Love to all, A

Is It Spring Yet...?

Hadley found her butterfly wings in the closet the other day...I've had them since Halloween when she was going to be a butterfly, but then we found Paul's box of costume's when he was little and she just HAD to be the little DEVIL...way too appropriate to pass up! So the wings got tucked away in the top of her closet and I forgot about them. She never even wore them...

When she put them on she was such a little girl, all giggles and smiles and eyelashes flitting it cracked me up. She had to be the cutest thing I've seen a while and it really made me long for green grass and flowers blooming and REAL butterflies flitting through our yard. But since it's February in Montana I guess I'll have to settle for her flitting through the house a bit longer...

Hugs-n-Kisses !

Valentine's Day was a much bigger deal around our house this year. The kids wanted to make valentine's for everyone!! For FHE everybody made their own valentine's mailboxes out of paper plates....way cute and fun. Then we made little notes throughout the week to fill them up...however the kids kind of petered out, so mommy and Hadley's were a little bare. We made tastey sugar cookies and frosted them all up and took them to the neighbors...they were so yummy! Here's Hugs and kisses to everyone!

Winter Fun!

We spent a fun filled night at Moonlight Basin sledding with friends. Here are the kids before their big crash into the fence that finished Hadley's fun...and it was only our second run down the hill! It was a good thing they had some smores and pizza with orange pop to wipe up the tears. Lots of fun, thanks Dave.

Here we go!!

Holy cow, here we go, i can't believe it was really that simple to set up...so now we'll see how to get this baby going so my friends and family from long distance can't say they only see my kids in christmas cards...
